Joshua 3:16 speaks of the movement of the people from the place where they pitched their tents. Before them was the flooded river Jordan but in the safety of the tent there was no victory. To view the river Jordan from the safety of the tent was yet a reminder of the human impossibility that was before them. You will face your greatest impossibility before your greatest triumph. The priests have now taken the ark, which symbolizes the presence of the Lord, and they are leading the procession to the river Jordan. To follow the priests to the bank and through the Jordan the tents must be left behind. They removed from their tents. Someone needs to arise today in this holy procession and leave the tents behind. To get through the Jordan, you must get to the banks. To go to and through, you must be a diligent follower of the presence of the Lord. Today, I am not being led by Joshua, but I am following Jesus, who with His blood made a way through the impossibility of the deep dark river of sin. Rise up and remove from the tent.
