“We cannot create the remnant, but we can refocus the remnant!”

THE REMNANT RISES!

Malachi 4:5,6; Mark 9:12; Luke 1:17 all teach that Elijah will return.  Luke teaches the Spirit of Elijah has come.  God has chosen Elijah to be a prototype, an example of an end-time mission and an end-time purpose.  Elijah’s life becomes an illustration of God’s pattern for your life.  His rapid prophetic emergence of power and boldness before Ahab now becomes life lessons for you.  Cherith, Zerepath, and Carmel becomes a prophetic pattern for your life.  He turns the hearts of the fathers to the children and the children to the fathers.  The last move of God has to do with fathers and children, which represents familial revival, restoration, and restitution.

What is the Spirit of Elijah?

Malachi 4:5,6 — “5Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful day of theLord:  6And he shall turn the heart of the fathers to the children, and the heart of the children to their fathers, lest I come and smite the earth with a curse.”

Luke 1:17: — “And he shall go before him in the spirit and power of Elias, to turn the hearts of the fathers to the children, and the disobedient to the wisdom of the just; to make ready a people prepared for the Lord.”

Mark 9:12 — “And he answered and told them, Elias verily cometh first, and restoreth all things; and how it is written of the Son of man, that he must suffer many things, and be set at nought.”

When you consider these verses in harmony with one another, the revelation on the move of God in the end-time is clear.  God said in Malachi 4:1 that He would send Elijah before the great and dreadful day of the Lord.  He will be sent into the tribulation period before the battle of Armageddon as one of the two witnesses.  This lets you know even in a time of extreme tribulation, when the Spirit of God is lifted as the barrier to evil and the full gamut of evil is revealed, God still has a witness.  It is ludicrous to think that God will ensure He has a witness in the tribulation, in Elijah, in the angels preaching the gospel of the Kingdom, in the 144,000 and the other witnesses and he be without a witness today.  That deception or seduction will be so prolific that there will be no witness of His power and might, is unthinkable.  So let us examine the Spirit of Elijah.

The Spirit of Elijah by definition has to do with Elijah and I will explain the vital connection.  However, before I do this, we must understand Elijah and what he was called to do.  In the tribulation period, we know he comes and stands against the power of the antichrist.  The Antichrist claims to be God so Elijah vehemently stands against this claim.  The Antichrist through the false prophet will institute the mark of the beast so that people can be controlled but also it becomes a form of worship.  The Antichrist will launch a hateful campaign against Israel but Elijah will be a stalwart for his people.  He will be used to manifest the supernatural power of Almighty God.  The miracles that will be used to reveal God’s power in the Tribulation period bear an exact similarity to what Elijah did in the Old Testament.  The two witnesses in the Tribulation period, one of whom is Elijah, cannot be touched until the time of their testimony is finished.  Again, they are not able to be touched until the time of their testimony is finished.
